Safeguarding Overview
Safeguarding at Ryedale School is everyone’s responsibility. We are committed to providing our students with a safe, caring, and inclusive environment, and we work closely with parents and carers to ensure that everyone has the information and support needed to keep our young people safe.
Our Designated Safeguarding Lead, Natasha Koval-Meth, Deputy Headteacher, ensures that high-quality safeguarding is at the forefront of all school practices. We maintain very high standards for staff training in safeguarding, with all colleagues receiving regular updates in addition to fulfilling statutory requirements.
Staff with pastoral responsibilities undertake additional training to support their enhanced roles in working with young people. Every member of staff prioritises safeguarding, and our programme of continuous professional development ensures policies are implemented effectively and that colleagues remain up to date.
We are committed to multi-agency working and maintain strong, effective partnerships with all organisations within the North Yorkshire Safeguarding Children Partnership.
